Year 2 Scripture Day and Summer Reading Assignment

Remember that the Year 2 required Scripture Day is scheduled AFTER your first regular class meeting:

Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012
9:00 am to 3:00 pm
St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield
"Coffee And" begins at 8:30 am


SPECIAL NOTICE:
Remember: You must bring your summer reading assignment for discussion on Scripture Day, September 15. KEEP that assignment to hand in the second week of class to your regular teacher. Do not turn it in on the first week of class, unless you have kept a photocopy for your use on Scripture Day.

Vatican II: An Unexpected Revolution

Bishop Peter Rosazza, Dr. Paul Lakeland and Dr. Maureen Sullivan team up for two days of exploring the meaning and legacy of Vatican II for the twenty-first century.Why was it called? What was revolutionary about the future role of the laity? How were we to live out the challenges of the Social Gospel? What is the legacy for the 21st Century?

The program is sponsored by Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center and the Center for Catholic Studies at Fairfield University, in celebration of the Year of Faith and in honor of the fiftieth anniversary of the Second Vatican Council.
