CBS Announces Publishing Contest

In honor of the Catholic Biblical School’s fifteenth anniversary, the Catholic Biblical School will be accepting entries for our Publishing Contest. Beginning in January and for the entire CBS fifteenth-anniversary year (2010), send us your reflections on biblical spirituality. We will choose one entry each month for publication here on our Bible Blog.

Here’s what we’re looking for: brief, inspirational reflections based on a biblical text or theme. Entries should show
how the contestant’s faith and way of living have been influenced by their reading of a particular biblical text or by their understanding of a biblical theme.

Winning entries will demonstrate a solid understanding of biblical exegesis and interpretation as taught by the Catholic Church and the Archdiocesan Biblical School, and will include reflection on Catholic faith and living.

Submissions must not exceed 300 words and must be submitted electronically to cbs@orehartford.org.
Winning entries will be chosen among all entries received in a given calendar month in 2010 and will be published, with the author’s name and Biblical School affiliation (if any), on the CBS Blog. Entries will not be returned and upon receipt become the property of the Archdiocese of Hartford Office of Religious Education.
